Ever since the premiere of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master the talented storyteller has maintained audience suspense with rich lore, a wide array of heroes, and a thrilling plot including angels, fiends, and sinister influences expanding in strength within Dol-Makjar.
Warning: Revealing details for Episode 3 of this adventure are included.
The Warrior Group Introduced
The third episode concluded with a huge suspense moment and introduced the initial group of heroes who will branch out from the central cast to embark on their independent quest, distinct from the other two tables.
This warrior group includes Teor (portrayed by Travis), the agile character (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).
The Reason for Division
With 13 cast members, it was evident from the start that maintaining everyone at the same party would be unworkable.
That’s why, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, intertwining the individual narratives before branching into three smaller tables: Fighters, Strategists, and Explorers.
The Nature of the Warrior Group
Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who prefer a typically action-packed battle-oriented narrative style where non-violent answers are few and far between.
Initially, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander might appear out of place, but the events of the third episode show why these five characters are ideally matched for the warrior group.
Reasons to Leave
For one thing, the party understands precisely where to head next after a intense first encounter with the antagonists.
An old friend of the deceased character—whose demise started the narrative’s action—exploited the foes for his own means, invading Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting the character, and taking all the magical artifacts to dispose of.
Casimir then cleared his liabilities and escaped to a fortified location in the northern region, beyond the city, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.
Individual Reasons
Moreover, each character has a individual motive to exit Dol-Makjar:
- Thimble, as the companion and trusted friend, seeks retribution.
- The adventurer knows the region and advises that it is a nasty environment.
- Tyranny and Wicander, having defied his relatives’ demands to kill the fighter and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
- However, their status as important members in House Halovar could enable the party access locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Furthermore, The fighter vowed a life debt to The savior for his rescue and will now go with him anywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
Finally, all of them are hunted by the powers that rule the city for a multiple motives, making remaining behind dangerous:
- The agile adventurer and The hero are notorious outlaws.
- The warrior and The healer defied the influential house and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
- The fighter is marked for death by the clan.
This results in them little choice but to travel to Timmony in search of the traitor.
